Essential clients appointment request: Here!
As of Monday, April 20, Governor Hogan released a memo regarding Interpretive Guidance (COVID 19-11), amending guidelines for non-essential business closures pertaining to the hair industry. This new change allows barbershops/salons to open and provide services to employees of employers considered essential business.
With this new guidance, The Loft Salon plans to open our doors and provide services to clients meeting these specific qualifications, as well as, following the cautionary safety steps set forth in the COVID 19-11. Here is a checklist/guide to how The Loft will be operating:
1. Customer must work for an Essential Business and provide documentation from Employer noting grooming standards established by Essential Employer. Paperwork must be submitted online prior to appointment scheduling. Appointments are scheduled in advance only (pending proper paperwork has been submitted/approved). Submit all paperwork here.
2. Face Coverings must be worn at all times for both Loft Employee and Client. Clients please wear a face covering that hooks around the ears to allow access to the hair on the back of your head.
3. Each day The Loft is open there will be only 1 Employee staffed and only 1 Client permitted at a time. During each service the front door will be secured to prevent any unauthorized access. If the next Client arrives while the previous service is still in session there will be seating provided in the hallway.
4. Prior to every client’s scheduled service all areas of the Salon (shampoo bowls, stylist chair, tools, etc.) will be disinfected/sanitized.
